It’s 1964 at the Yard - throw on your suit and tie, or your leather jacket, and let’s riot! This event is in honor of vintage motorcycles so bring your vintage motorcycle or scooter down for a ride! Or just come enjoy live music, eat some tasty woodfired pizza, drink a craft beer, shop at vintage & artisan vendors, and watch the action! Don your best Mod or Rocker look - there are prizes to be won! Plus, a portion of food and beverage proceeds from this event will go to A Tiny Home for Good*.
We will be giving a $25 gift card for dinner at Ironwood Pizza & a custom trophy to 4 winners in the following categories:
-Best Dressed Mod
-Best Dressed Rocker
-Best Cafe Racer
The Mods and the Rockers were two conflicting subcultures in Great Britain in the 1960's & 70's. Mods subculture focused on fashion and music, especially soul, blues, ska, and bands like The Who. Many Mods rode scooters, and donned smart clothing, often dressing in suits. Rockers subculture was centered on motorcycling and 1950's rock and roll. Most sported leather jackets and motorcycle boots and rode cafe racers, fashioning their hair into pompadours.
So who are you - a MOD or a ROCKER? We want to see!
This event will kick-off with a ride through the countryside. Then everyone should head back to The Yard for food, beer, live music by MORRIS AND THE HEPCATS, costume & bike contest results, and local vendors! Complete schedule to be announced!
